Banana, Kiwi, Strawberry Smoothie!

Today I am sharing something I have been really enjoying. I had some kiwis in the fridge that were on the verge of going bad so i decided to add them to a smoothie which I've never done. IT WAS SO GOOD. That's the beauty of smoothies you can practically add any fruits you have in your kitchen. Since I am vegan I do use non dairy products but if your not then you can substitute regular milk.

Ingredients:
- 4 kiwis
- 3 bananas
- about 10 strawberries depending how big they are
- 3 tbs of hemp seeds(10g of protein!)
- 1 tbs of chia seeds
- 1 and 1/2 cups of vanilla almond milk

I HATE peeling kiwis so I found this tool, It's like a mini ice cream scooper so it fits perfectly around the meat of the kiwi and it plops right out! I believe It's only about $3 and it's a handy tool to have in the kitchen for other fruits as well.
Now all you have yo do it blend it all up, I use a Blendtech, and enjoy! I love my smoothies cold so I always have frozen bananas in the freezer so I'll add some frozen and some fresh bananas to all my smoothies.
Let me know if you give it a go and how you liked it!

Why I went Vegetarian/Vegan

I've been Vegetarian/Vegan for about three months now and it's been amazing. As you know I love animals of all shapes and forms so it was only a matter of time before I finally made the decision to cut out meat.

There are many reasons as to why a person might go vegan wether that be for health reasons or ethical reasons. I made the change not only because it is wrong to kill an innocent life but also because it's bad for our health and animal agriculture is the main cause of global warming.

I choose to not contribute to animal suffering, lessen my carbon foot print, and live a healthier life. We grow up in a society that tells us we need meat and dairy in order to survive but that is not true. When do you ever see a Vegan or Vegetarian in a hospital bed because of their diet? Hardly ever!

It's important for all of us to be informed individuals and seek out information for ourselves instead of taking the word of others.

Just do your research folks nothing positive comes from consuming meat and animals products! Be happy, healthy, and live a fulfilling life :)

Introduction

So I was thinking of a way to introduce myself and really show you what I am about and what a better way to do that than to show off my fur babies! I currently have 4 dogs(ok only 2 are actually mine and live with me but my older sisters dogs are "mine" too right?) and one guinea pig. My oldest baby is Lola and she is about 10 years old but she is definitely the baby of the house and she knows it. The second is my guinea pig Peggy and I've had her for about 2 years and she's just a spunky little girl with a whole lot of attitude! Now on to the actual baby, Niko is the newest member of the family and he is 4 months old. I took him in when he was about 2 months old because his previous owner didn't want the responsibility of raising a puppy so how could I resist!!! Funny story about Niko I actually lied to my mom saying that I found him in a box out in the cold and that I would find him a home because I knew my mom wouldn't let me keep him but here we are 2 months later and he's staying for good.
